As part of this expansion, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer The Level to lead and approve electrical box, wire-harness, and control-panel designs for XNRGY’s mission-critical HVAC systems. This role combines deep technical skill in 3D cable routing, panel architecture, Revit coordination, and BOM management with a strong understanding of NEC and UL 60335-2-40 compliance.

 

 

An overview of your responsibilities!

 

  • Lead electrical and wire-harness design for HVAC platforms, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and serviceability.
  • Create and manage 3D harness models and Revit coordination files for full electrical integration with mechanical systems.
  • Develop and approve BOMs, schematics, and wiring diagrams for control panels and assemblies.
  • Ensure all electrical layouts meet NEC, UL 60335-2-40, and IEC/CSA requirements.
  • Mentor Level 2 designers on wire-routing best practices and design standards.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, and service teams to standardize electrical layouts.
  • Drive panel and harness design optimization for cost, weight, and build efficiency.
  • Review supplier data for connectors, cable assemblies, and power components.
  • Support UL/CSA certification testing and compliance documentation.
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews and update department standards.

 

Qualifications!

 

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Design or Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical and wire-harness design for HVAC or industrial equipment.
  • Expert proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, and Revit MEP.
  • Demonstrated expertise in panel layout, cable routing, and harness modeling in 3D.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and UL 60335-2-40, with hands-on certification experience.
  • Proven ability to generate and manage complex BOMs and revision control systems.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills; effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience with digital-twin coordination in Revit and SolidWorks Electrical 3D.
  • Knowledge of harness manufacturing and wiring best practices.
  • History of supporting UL/CSA audits and safety testing.
