Position Overview

XNRGY is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support our Quality Department. This role provides hands-on exposure to engineering processes, documentation, inspection planning, and continuous improvement in a fast-growing, manufacturing-focused environment. The intern will work closely with Quality and Operations teams to help standardize inspection documentation, improve inspection readiness, and reduce defects and escapes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop inspection documentation based on critical engineering components, drawings, and specifications
  • Support the standardization of quality and inspection documentation across products and processes
  • Assist with process documentation (work instructions, SOPs)
  • Support time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis
  • Assist with new product introductions (NPI) or engineering changes (ECR/ECO support)
  • Assist with documenting existing quality and engineering processes to ensure clarity, consistency, and traceability
  • Help define and improve inspection criteria, methods, and acceptance standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, rework, and quality escapes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field)
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in quality systems and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CAD or quality systems is a plus
  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment
